NEGATIONS WITH CBS SPORTS NULL

Waverly Utilities (WU) customers subscribed to the More Sports cable tier will no longer receive CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) starting May 1, 2019.

Negotiations with CBSSN ended when requirements were made to move the channel to the Expanded Basic lineup next to ESPN or Fox Sports 1, causing a significant cost increase to all expanded subscribers and a channel line-up change.

“We tried diligently to negotiate with CBS Sports Network with no luck,” stated Jeff Magsamen, telecom director with Waverly Utilities.  “As a cost saving endeavor for our customers, we chose to drop the channel.  CBS Sports is available to stream so it still gives our customers an option to watch the programming.”

WU is currently looking at other sports programming to add to the More Sports tier.
